The EUROPA 2 welcomes you on board in the harbour of Kiel on the famous fjord and sets course from here for the first Baltic metropolis: Gdansk. The former Hanseatic city boasts a long history, which can be seen in its artfully restored medieval centre or on a trip to Malbork*, one of the mightiest castles built by knights in Europe. The route continues to Klaipeda, from where you will reach the Curonian Spit*. With its sand dunes up to 60 m (197 ft) high and picturesque fishing villages, it was once a summer retreat for Thomas Mann. The capital of Estonia, Tallinn, is impressive with its magnificent Gothic city hall and the imposing Church of the Holy Spirit. Helsinki, also known as the “Paris of the north”, boasts a multifaceted old town and traditional cafes located in old fortress towers and former merchants’ houses. For guests with a head for heights, Stockholm offers a unique city tour* over the roofs of the parliament building. The EUROPA 2 takes you to Copenhagen via the southern Swedish gem of Kalmar, where you can enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the city skyline on a helicopter flight*. After a daytime passage through the impressive Kiel Canal and a final night on board, your cruise ends in Hamburg, the home port of the EUROPA 2.

The impressive locks and beautiful countryside on its banks make a journey along the canal a truly fascinating experience.
