Start your cruise to the Hawaiian Islands in the port of the Japanese city of Yokohama. After several relaxing days at sea, the famous chain of islands in the Pacific Ocean appears in front of you. Enjoy a fantastic view from the railing as the EUROPA 2 cruises off Kauai, the majestic “garden island”. Honolulu on Oahu awaits you with the famous Waikiki Beach* and a visit to the historic Pearl Harbor*. The following day, you will reach Hilo on Big Island, a volcanic wonderland. The view is particularly breathtaking during a helicopter flight*. You will be treated to further fascinating impressions when the EUROPA 2 drops anchor off Lahaina on Maui. Here, you can spot whales up-close during a catamaran trip* or enjoy the lunar landscape of the giant crater in the Haleakala Crater National Park*. After five relaxing days at sea, you will reach Los Angeles, the final destination of your cruise.

Peter Badge
Peter Badge, born in Hamburg in 1974, began his career as a freelance photographer in 1993. After studying art history in Berlin, he worked for various magazines and developed his own concepts and projects, focusing on portrait photography. His subjects include artists, actors, musicians, and photographers, with recent works like "Men from the Moon", "Icons of Business", and "Philanthropists".
Badge’s notable projects include portraits of Nobel laureates, electronic music pioneer Oskar Sala, Elvis impersonators worldwide, and German actor-musician Marius Müller-Westernhagen. Since 2000, he has created portraits of every living Nobel laureate, a project supported by organizations like the Smithsonian Institution and Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings. In 2012, he expanded this to include winners of the Turing Award, ACM Prize in Computing, Abel Prize, Fields Medal, and IMU Abacus Medal.
For 25 years, Badge has traveled the world for his projects and published over 30 books, including Ingenious Encounters (2023). His works are displayed in exhibitions and private/public collections worldwide. He is the honorary consul of Timor-Leste in Germany.

His travel cookbook “Terra Mediterranea” (S.Fischer) was published in 2022, and his current novel “Yoga Town” (S.Fischer), based on the Beatles’ famous trip to India, was published in 2023. He is currently working on a sequel to “Bella Germania”.
