Golf pro on this cruise: Daniel Lamprecht - more about our pros

A golf cruise is like a good single-malt whiskey. From the south of England, the route heads west past the British Isles, over to Ireland, along the coast there, before reaching the legendary golfing courses of Scotland. Once there, two of the classic “playing arenas” await you, epitomising golfing history by virtue of their age alone. So it’s only fitting that you can enjoy a regional single malt after your round of golf.

  • Fri, 07.08.2026, Cowes, Isle of Wight (Great Britain) – Freshwater Bay Golf – additional course 1
The slogan of this course is “See the sea from every tee”. The 18 links-style holes run directly along the coast in the south-west of the island. The layout provides a clear guideline for the individual holes – the game always goes straight ahead. The clearly laid out fairways come very close to each other. Only the third dimension, the wind coming from the English Channel, is the unpredictable factor on this course.

Mon, 10.08.2026, Kinsale, Ireland – Cork Golf Club – additional course 2
Spanning altogether 6,192 m (6,771 yd), this 18-hole course was designed by Alister MacKenzie, who also worked with Bobby Jones on the famous Masters course in Augusta. In contrast to the American course, the counterpart here in Cork is not quite as elitist. After all, it has to make do with very little space due to the size of the terrain. However, this results in a very interesting compactness, which sends the one or other tee shot over the previously finished green. This means that you should be particularly focused and attentive in your game. It may be a somewhat unusual course at times, but the course certainly has its charms.

Tue, 11.08.2026, Bantry, Ireland – Bantry Bay Golf Club
This mix of parkland and links course sits directly on Bantry Bay. No less than 14 of the 18 holes offer frequent views of the bay, including beautiful views of MS EUROPA. The very hilly fairways make it advisable to play the round with a golf cart, especially as the natural terrain has one or two slopes in store. But that’s not all – it can happen that the tee shot on one hole has to be played over the green of the previous hole, which in turn requires more concentration from you.

Wed, 12.08.2026, Dingle, Irland – Dingle Links Ceann Sibeal Golf Club
What is the enhancement of tradition? The answer is Dingle Links Ceann Sibeal Golf Club. This unspoilt golf adventure is located at the westernmost tip of Ireland. The 18 holes were already designed into the existing dune landscape back in 1924. The locals are always very welcoming to guests and, like the course layout, appear rather relaxed and unhurried. A different kind of golfing pleasure awaits you: here golf is a hobby to be enjoyed with friends and neighbours. Due to the circumstances, the individual fairways have retained their Gaelic names to this day.

Mon, 17.08.2026, Aberdeen, Scotland – Newmachar Golf Club
The mixture of parkland and links course promises a very pleasant round. However, you should observe a few rules. If you study the course carefully, you will notice that almost every position is protected by corresponding obstacles or bunkers. Therefore, it may be advisable to take one club less here and there in order to better control the direction of the ball. This way, you can elegantly avoid the numerous bunkers.

Tue, 18.08.2026, Leith, Scotland – Royal Musselburgh Golf Club
As early as 1774, the first nine holes were laid out on the site creating the basis for today’s course. The course can therefore lay claim to being “the sixth oldest course in the world”. Today, the 18 parkland-style holes are located in a very confined space. The layout partly features old trees, which repeatedly and clearly limit the manageably wide fairways. In general, the design is obvious at first glance. Only the bunkers guarding the greens need to be taken into account when calculating your game.

    • Due to tournaments, renovations, etc. at the various golf clubs, our Golf & Cruise programme is subject to change at short notice.
