Relax for two days at sea while the EUROPA sails along Norway’s coast to the charming little town of RORVIK. The Lofoten Islands are located away from the mainland, and you can marvel at their breathtaking landscapes and quaint fishing villages on a tour* in the surroundings of LEKNES. Travel further north until you reach the legendary North Cape* via SKARSVAG and follow in the footsteps of famous Arctic expeditions in TROMSO. Further adventures await in Norway’s impressive mountain worlds: how about a horseback ride* at SVOLVAER, a visit to the vertical Troll Wall* at MOLDE or a helicopter flight over the Briksdal Glacier* near OLDEN? Enjoy the last days of your cruise with magnificent views of the fjord arms and a visit to the Hardangervidda Nature Centre* in EIDFJORD before disembarking in HAMBURG.

  • In the middle of the Lofoten Islands is the town of Leknes, with its impressive scenery made up of majestic mountains, picturesque fjords and idyllic sandy beaches. Visit the Lofotr Viking Museum, enjoy the unforgettable beauty of the surrounding islands and see the magical midnight sun in the summer. Leknes is the ideal starting point for discovering the unspoilt natural scenery of the Lofoten Islands.
  • Tromso, the capital of the north, offers a unique mix of natural wonders and urban charm. In clear conditions you can see the amazing Northern Lights, or simply explore the picturesque fjords and with luck see some majestic whales. Visit the Polar Museum where you can gain some insights into the history and culture of the Arctic. Tromso is a popular place with students, who come for the adventure opportunities and beauty, which will soon draw you under their Nordic spell.
  • Discover picturesque fishing villages like Henningsvaer or go for a hike in the surrounding mountains to enjoy the spectacular views. Visit the Lofoten Museum to find out more about the history and culture of the region. Svolvaer is the ideal starting point for discovering the natural beauty of the Lofoten Islands.
  • Marvel at the amazing Moldefjord on a panoramic trip1. Alternatively, the Romsdal open-air museum1 is well worth a visit to see its 19th-century buildings.
  • A fascinating boat trip on the glistening Oldenfjord is always worthwhile, and you can admire the majestic glaciers during the journey. Or head to the Briksdal Glacier for a first-hand experience of the impressive icy landscape. The Stegastein viewpoint is perfect for enjoying unique vistas of the fjord and the surrounding mountains.
  • With its deep-blue water, steep rock faces and majestic waterfalls, the fjord is an absolute eye-catcher. Take a boat tour and explore the impressive landscape up close. Hike through the surrounding valleys and marvel at the diverse flora and fauna. Visit the breathtaking Voringsfossen waterfall, which at 182 m (597 ft) is one of the most spectacular in Norway. Whether you want to take photos of nature, go hiking or simply enjoy the peace and beauty, Eidfjord offers something special for everyone.

The excursions in the programmes are accompanied by a local tour guide who will be happy to attend to your individual wishes. There will also be enough time and space for your own activities. Transfers are usually by private car with private drivers. Prices for solo travellers or groups of three or more are available on request.

On this family cruise, your loved ones will have their very own programme ashore. Experienced supervisors ensure that special kids’ and teens’ excursions* provide an exciting way to explore new places for all junior cruise passengers aged four and up. Naturally, we also offer family excursions* tailored to let you and your children explore together. Back on board, the children and their supervisors complete their eventful day by eating together in the Lido Cafe. If required, a babysitter* can look after your little ones afterwards. To allow you to sleep in peace a little longer, we also offer a lie-in service on days at sea: nannies will pick up your children at 8.00 hrs and take them for breakfast. And on days with shore excursions, adjusted supervision times allow you to take part in excursions* without your children.
