From Bilbao in the Basque Country, the EUROPA 2 sets sail for Gijon, an old seafaring city with an wonderful combination of harbour city flair, architectural heritage and modernity. Bordeaux awaits you the next morning with its lavish 18th-century architecture and picturesque small lanes. Alternatively, an excursion* to the Landes de Gascogne Regional Natural Park offers you a breathtaking view of the bay of Arcachon from the Dune du Pilat sand dune. In La Pallice (La Rochelle) , you have the opportunity to explore the local market or visit idyllic Ile de Re on an excursion*. Small, relaxed and very charming, Belle-Ile lives up to its name with its enchanting boutiques and cafes. With Saint Peter Port, you will then reach Guernsey: the Channel Island features impressive cliffs, beautiful beaches and lush green fields and can be explored in an exciting way on a fast-paced ride on an RIB boat*. Picturesque and inviting, Honfleur is ideal for a stroll in which you can discover the winding lanes and half-timbered buildings of Normandy. Alternatively, you can sample the regional speciality, calvados, on a trip into Pays d’Auge*. From Antwerp, take a canal trip through Ghent* or visit Brussels, the centre of power in Europe. Your cruise ends with spectacular views of the banks of the River Elbe and the silhouette of the city of Hamburg.
