Golf & Cruise
On our exclusive Golf & Cruise voyages, we have reserved the best golf courses for you in advance and put together attractive basic packages.
Basispaket: three courses - € 1,590 per person
Golf pro on this cruise: Hanna Baum - More about our Pros
From the Canary Islands to the Portuguese mainland, a wide variety of golfing experiences are on the route. However, the golf courses have one thing in common: they all offer views of the nearby Atlantic Ocean. Time and again, this also becomes a significant distraction. But that’s what makes golf so interesting – it’s a relaxed game on a green surface with positive visual factors, even if these don’t always necessarily make the game easier.
Wed, 22.04.2026, Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Spain – Anfi Tauro Golf – Additional course 1
Situated below the Barranco del Cura in a valley, the course features 18 separate holes. Standing on the fairways, you can’t help but get the impression of a golf course that is more at home in Arizona. Here, too, there is an interesting interplay between the rocky aspects of the surrounding foothills of the mountains and the green areas of the fairways. Take the eighth hole, for example, where after a short approach you will find a green surrounded by rock faces. – If you overshoot here, you run the risk of the ball being thrown back by the rocks.
Sat, 25.04.2026, Funchal, Madeira, Portugal – Clube de Golf Santo da Serra
The oldest golf course on the island was founded in 1937 by British merchants at this location almost 1,000 m (3,280 ft) above sea level. The altitude of the course means that the climate is independent of the rest of the island. It might not be a bad idea to bring a light jacket or jumper, as the temperatures will be very different from those in the harbour. The course itself is divided into two halves from the clubhouse: the first nine holes plunge almost downhill towards the west to the cliffs, whereas the second nine holes spread out leisurely on a plateau behind the clubhouse. In general, you will be playing on mostly very sweeping fairways that are forgiving of the occasional shot.
Mo, 27.04.2026 Portimao, Portugal – Amendoeira Faldo Course
This course, designed by golf pro Nick Faldo, was voted Portugal’s best golf course in 2016. Accordingly, the course is a real challenge with its numerous artificial lakes and resulting encounters with water. The wet element affects 14 of the 18 holes alone. Otherwise, this is an American-inspired parkland design, with wide fairways meeting well-shaped greens, which in most cases are clearly guarded by sand hazards. – A piece of golfing precision work awaits you here.
Tue, 28.04.2026, Lisbon, Portugal – Oitavos Dunes Golf Club
These 18 holes, surrounded by umbrella pines, are situated on a hill. The course cannot deny its dune-like origins, as the fairways are clearly surrounded by the original terrain in addition to the pine trees. Despite its coastal location, the course does not have a pure links feel, but rather a mixture of links and parkland design. It is not always easy to maintain one’s concentration, as the course’s surroundings with striking umbrella pines and the azure blue of the Atlantic provide plenty of distractions.
Thu, 30.04.2026, Leixoes (Porto), Portugal – Estela Golf Club – Additional course 2
The elongated layout stretches over 3 km (1.8 mi.) along the coast, with direct contact to the Atlantic Ocean. There you will find the links-style design with everything that a dune course entails. The exclusively straight fairways demand an equally straight game, whereby the greens at the end are all protected by numerous bunkers. The art of mastering this course is not to leave the straight playing line.
