From NICE, set course for Corsica, where the harbour promenade of CALVI invites you to linger and enjoy life to the fullest. The beautiful Cote d’Azur lies at your feet in ST-TROPEZ while the landscape around enchanting SANARY-SUR-MER is not short on charm either: see for yourself on a excursion to Aix-en-Provence*, the “queen” of the region. Sample some of France’s delicacies in SETE when you reach the oyster farm in the Thau Lagoon* by boat and fall in love with the picturesque fishing village of COLLIOURE the following day. Spain and its delicious culinary specialities also welcome you with open arms. In addition to buildings from almost 2,000 years of urban history, TARRAGONA will surprise you with “wine cathedrals”*, typical Catalan wineries. The coming days, the sister islands of MENORCA and MALLORCA offer enchanted mountain worlds, long beaches and inviting island cities for you to explore. Treat yourself to another day at sea on board before your cruise ends in MALAGA.

  • Calvi is one of Corsicas most beautiful cities with a small old town filled with winding alleyways and squares dating back hundreds of years. Calvi is the ideal starting point for an excursion into the neighbouring area, especially to see the typical Corsican macchia. Macchia is an exuberant and enchanting mixture of thorn-covered and prickly sclerophyllous plants, trees, bushes and grasses. Typical plants include the common rock rose, phillyria, arbutus, myrtle, broom, buckthorn, thyme, lavender, fennel and rosemary. A special feature of Corsica are the tafoni, created by the weathering of medium to coarse-grained stones. They look somewhat like honeycomb and can be found in an extraordinary variety of shapes.
