After a relaxing day at sea, the gateway to the African wilderness opens up to you for the first time in GQEBERHA, formerly Port Elizabeth: with a little luck, you can spot elephants, giraffes and zebras on a safari in the Amakhala Game Reserve*. Be inspired by the multicultural flair and beautiful beaches in DURBAN or learn more about Zulu customs in the Valley of 1,000 Hills*. After visiting MAPUTO, the capital of Mozambique, the island of BAZARUTO welcomes you off the east coast of Africa. The unspoilt natural beauty of Madagascar is an invitation both to explore and unwind on NOSY BE. Spend relaxing hours on the beach or keep an eye out for chameleons and lemurs in Lokobe* Reserve.   • Gqeberha, formerly known as Port Elizabeth, is a vibrant coastal city in South Africa, favoured for its pretty beaches and rich history. As the gateway to the Garden Route and the Addo Elephant National Park, Gqeberha is the perfect base for nature and wildlife lovers. The city is famous for its miles of sandy beaches such as Kings Beach and Hobie Beach, which offer ideal conditions for water sports, swimming and sunbathing. Along the coast, the Donkin Heritage Trail passes historical landmarks, including the Donkin Reserve with its iconic lighthouse and pyramid, from which you can enjoy magnificent views of the city. Culture vultures can visit the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum or stroll through the vibrant markets selling handmade artworks and local specialities.
  • Durban, the lively coastal city on the east coast of South Africa, is a dream destination for sun worshippers, surfers and culture vultures.   • Nosy Be, the idyllic island off the north-western coast of Madagascar, is a dream destination for nature lovers and beach buffs. A particular highlight is Lokobe Reserve, where visitors can discover lemurs, chameleons and exotic plants. Nosy Be is also famous for its volcanic crater lakes, such as Mont Passot, which offers a breathtaking view over the island.
