The highlights of this cruise

With their unique character and individual beauty, the islands of the Mediterranean are inspiring to visit. Let yourself be enchanted by their most famous tales and views – and accompany the EUROPA to diverse Mediterranean coasts.

The mythical Cyclades are not far from PIRAEUS: on PAROS and SANTORINI, azure-blue bays shimmer in front of white houses and, as on MILOS, attract visitors with typical specialities under the blue domed roofs of the tavernas. The medieval castle town of MONEMVASIA, which can only be seen from the sea, is an impressive sight. The history of the Crusaders can then be traced in VALLETTA, whose baroque synthesis of the arts has been recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Dolce vita and sightseeing can be wonderfully combined on Italy’s islands: a cable car leads from TRAPANI to the picturesque town of Erice* in Sicily, and on Sardinia the beaches are never far from the historic quarter of CAGLIARI. Enjoy some more carefree moments on the coast of CORSICA before you disembark in PALMA DE MALLORCA.

  • At anchor

  • Thira, also known as Santorini, has a fascinating history. The town is located on a volcanic island and was once a thriving Minoan settlement. Today, the ruins of Akrotiri are an impressive archaeological site that offers insights into ancient life. The characteristic architecture of Thira, with its whitewashed houses and blue domes, is also worth seeing. The breathtaking view from the cliffs of Oia and the famous sunset are a must-see. Santorini offers a rich history, breathtaking landscapes and unique attractions such as the caldera, the archaeological area of Akrotiri and the island’s beautiful beaches.
  • Are you ready for an adventure in the mysterious world of Monemvasia? Immerse yourself in a medieval fortress on a rocky peninsula, which is shrouded in legends and history. Explore the well-preserved Venetian buildings and enjoy the breathtaking views over the azure-blue sea. The rich history of the island has been shaped by the Byzantines, Franks and Venetians. A visit to Monemvasia is like a journey back in time and will captivate you with its distinctive beauty.
  • Valletta, the capital of Malta, is a historic city with impressive architecture. It was founded by the Knights of St John in the 16th century and is surrounded by fortress walls. The city is home to numerous historic sites, including the Grand Master’s Palace and St John's Co-Cathedral. At just 0.8 square kilometres (0.3 square miles), Valletta is the smallest capital city in the European Union. The city has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1980.
  • Palma de Mallorca, the capital of the Balearic Islands, has numerous highlights on offer. Take a look at the majestic La Seu cathedral and stroll through the charming old town with its narrow lanes and historic buildings. Visit Bellver Castle with its panoramic views over the city. Or relax on idyllic beaches such as Playa de Palma or Cala Major. Take a walk along the Passeig des Born promenade and discover the lively shopping street Avenida Jaume III. An insider tip is Santa Catalina neighbourhood with its trendy cafes, bars and restaurants, where you can enjoy the local cuisine and nightlife.

¹The ship’s berth will be allocated at a later date. Subject to change.
