  • Colourful gifts of nature await between South and Central America: turquoise sea, bright coral reefs and lush green jungle vie for attention with beauties such as scarlet ibises, blue anoles and colourful macaws. At first sight, Peru welcomes you as a rough yet extremely lively landscape. From Paita, once a capital in Spain’s colonial empire, the route follows in the wake of the privateer Sir Francis Drake.
  • Sir Francis Drake is said to have buried his silver on Isla de la Plata. If the authorities give the green light, you can explore the true treasure of the protected Machalilla National Park on a hike in the habitat of tropic birds, Nazca boobies and lava lizards. 
  • Exhilarating natural experiences await you in the rainforests of Utria National Park. Rangers will guide you through the jungle, which is home to anteaters and sloths. A unique biotope is formed by the mangrove swamps, where boardwalks lead to their inhabitants.
  • There is still a further highlight to top these sights – a daytime passage through the Panama Canal, a legendary masterpiece of engineering. As the grassland and rainforest glide past in an unforgettable natural spectacle, the team of experts will supply interesting background information.
  • The San Blas Islands are a picture-book world of palm trees and white sandy beaches – the ideal place to snorkel or simply let your mind drift.

  • Relaxing moments that set the tone for a wonderfully beautiful city: Cartagena. With his novel, Love in the Time of Cholera, Gabriel García Márquez brought literary fame to Cartagena. Sample some delicious treats and exotic fruit on a culinary walking tour to see and taste Cartagena1 as you discover the old town passing the San Felipe fortress, the Gold Museum and the facades from colonial times adorned with flowers. Enjoy the flair of the city, the churches and Andalusian-style palaces with a carriage ride through Cartagena1.

  • Curacao is one of the Caribbean Leeward Antilles. The romantic streets in the island’s capital Willemstad are full of historic charm. Marvel at the weathered monuments that bear witness to a glorious past on a city walk1. From the restored areas of the city with their colourful merchants’ houses, you’ll head to the floating market and take your senses and taste buds on a tour of discovery as traders sell their delicacies straight from their boats. A jeep safari1 will take you into the wild regions of the north coast. Divi-divi trees and cacti create striking shapes in the wild landscape.

  • With around 30 islands, the island state of St Vincent and the Grenadines is a Caribbean dream in the cyan ocean under a tropical sky. On Bequia, an island tour1 will immerse you in this colourful world – from the small vegetable market to Mount Pleasant with its expansive view and a visit to a sea turtle sanctuary.

  • The name Trinidad is based on a very different wonder of nature: it was Christopher Columbus who named the island after the Holy Trinity, inspired by its three mountain peaks. The boat trip through the Caroni Bird Sanctuary1 is heaven for birdwatchers.

  • The rocky Ile Royale was home to a penal colony until 1945 and later served as a backdrop for Hollywood classics. However, no film can capture the experiences that you’ll have gathered by the end of your adventure-filled expedition.
