WELCOME2KERNER: New talk format with Johannes B. Kerner

The EUROPA 2 stands for exclusive and hand-picked entertainment on the high seas. Now the small luxury ship is once again setting new standards by bringing one of Germany's most sought-after journalists and presenters on board: Johannes B. Kerner. Starting this summer, the experienced TV professional will regularly welcome celebrities to the new WELCOME2KERNER show for talks in the theatre on deck 4. His first official guest will be iconic soccer coach Jürgen Klopp.

Last year, Johannes B. Kerner was an interviewee on board the EUROPA 2, considered the best cruise ship in the world according to Insight Guides Cruising & Cruise Ships 2025. On “2 in einem Boot” with Inka Schneider, he took a seat next to the TV presenter and answered questions. He was so enthusiastic about his time on board, that he has now become a host! Starting this summer, he will be welcoming guests to share their stories, successes and special experiences in his own talk series WELCOME2KERNER on the EUROPA 2. To kick off his new talk format, he has recruited none other than soccer strategist Jürgen Klopp as his first guest.

For me, it's something very special to have exciting conversations in this exclusive atmosphere on the water, somewhere between the North and South Poles. It will be entertaining, surprising, and guaranteed to inspire,” says Johannes B. Kerner, who will also be mingling with the guests during the voyage together with his guest.

WELCOME2KERNER complements the already established talk formats on the EUROPA 2. In TALK2CHRISTIANSEN, Sabine Christiansen leads exciting discussions on current affairs with personalities from business, politics, culture, and society. On “2 in einem Boot” with Inka Schneider, the focus is on the lives of outstanding personalities. The journalist will be welcoming former editor-in-chief Kai Diekmann to her next talk in July this year.

The limited number of guests on the EUROPA 2 (max. of 500) ensure an intimate setting on the small luxury ship and offers the best conditions for exciting insight and conversations. Each itinerary features an individual entertainment program with an average of around 30 artists.
