Karl J. Pojer, CEO of Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, has been appointed Chairman of the Leadership Council of the German branch of the International Cruise Lines Association (CLIA Germany). With his extensive experience gained in the hospitality and tourism industry, he will further support and accompany CLIA Germany in its function to serve the cruise industry in as effective a way as is possible.
Karl J. Pojer comments on his new role: “I am honoured by the trust the cruise industry has placed in me and would like to thank my colleagues for recommending me for this great opportunity. I will work hard to reflect and achieve CLIA Germany's priorities and vision.”
Three years ago CLIA commenced its work in Germany. Since that time the association has established itself as the central point of contact and source of information for cruise and cruising in this country – not only within the industry but also within the consumer marketplace.
