After his time as an amateur and professional golfer, he coached the German men's team as a full-time national coach from 1998 to 2004. His players were runners-up in the European Championships and won more than 25 international championships throughout Europe. He has been teaching at the Hamburg-Ahrensburg Golf Club since April 2004 and is jointly responsible for training the professionals in the national Golf Team Germany. He is happy to pass on his experience to you as part of the Golf & Cruise programme.

The Director of Golf & Cruise accompanied the first Golf & Cruise voyage on board the EUROPA back in 1997. He was honoured with the 5-Star Professional Award from the PGAs of Europe in 2013 for his exceptional professional contribution in the numerous and diverse specialist areas and fields of activity of golf and the operation of golf facilities. You can look forward to the professional expertise of the master professional and long-standing managing director of golf courses during interesting discussions on board.

The Fully Qualified Professional's heart has been beating for seafaring since 2008. He gained his first experience on MS COLUMBUS and MS COLUMBUS 2, and with the highest PGA of Germany qualification level (G1) and his PGA Health Professional qualification ‘under his belt’, he looks after our guests with great commitment, humour and passion. You are welcome to convince yourself of his ability to explain complex things simply on board or ashore. 

The PGA Pro has been running his own golf school in Bochum since 2004. In 2005, he completed the DGV's A-Trainer course, later added his PGA Health Professional and in 2017 was one of the first holders of the academic degree ‘Master of Science Research and Instruction in Golf’ from the German Sport University Cologne. His expertise, combined with balance and calmness in training and play, has ensured a sense of achievement on land and at sea at Golf & Cruise for years.

Stefan Quirmbach is one of the leading golf experts in German golf. In 1996 he was honoured with the 5-Star Professional Award from the PGAs of Europe, and until 2000 he was the state coach in Berlin-Brandenburg for seven years. The long-serving President of the PGA of Germany has been imparting his expert knowledge of health-conscious golfing for all levels for many years on board and since 2004 at the Golf Resort Hardenberg, which is home to the Stefan Quirmbach Golf School.

The PGA golf instructor began her career in Berlin. Her extensive qualifications as a DGV A-Trainer, PGA Health Professional, PGA Master Professional and 2017 ‘Master of Science Research and Instruction in Golf’ from the German Sport University Cologne, combined with her practical professional experience, make her a comprehensive expert. For Englishman Peter Martin, golf was the sport that fascinated him above all others from an early age. His work in the PGA of Germany coaching team for over 20 years, his further training as a PGA Health Pro and his experience as a base coach for the Lower Saxony-Bremen Golf Association form the basis for many adventures in the world of fascinating golf and his vocation as a golf teacher. In 2023, he qualified for the British Senior Open in Royal Porthcawl, the only major tournament for seniors outside America, and was voted ‘Professional of the Year’ by the PGA of Germany in the same year.

Roland Becker is a formative figure in the German golf scene. From 2004 to 2007, he was national coach of the German Golf Association (DGV) and worked with European Tour players Max Kieffer, Nicolai von Dellingshausen and Sophie Witt for around ten years. During his career, he has guided numerous players on national and international tours. Becker has been working at Golf Club Hubbelrath in Düsseldorf for many years and was in charge of youth and performance training there for 16 years. Since 2024, he has increasingly focussed on coaching amateur golfers. As co-national coach of the DGV, he remains active in talent development. In over 30 years as a golf instructor, he trained and examined prospective golf instructors for many years. He also wrote the ‘Framework training plan - from child to competitive golfer’. 

The PGA Master Professional and A-Trainer began his career as a golf instructor in 1996 at the traditional Düsseldorf Golf Club in Ratingen. His professional career took him to southern Germany for a long time, where he successfully ran several golf schools together with his wife. Back in classic club coaching at the Westphalian Golf Club Gütersloh with responsibility for ambitious DGL teams, he pursues his passion for direct contact with golfers. He has been a permanent member of the PGA teaching team and examination board since 2004 and therefore always has his finger on the pulse of golfing technology. His quick eye for movement and clear, easy-to-implement training tips will benefit your game.

Daniel Lamprecht ran one of Austria's largest golf academies, the Dolomitengolf Academy at the resort of the same name, for 17 years. For the last 12 years, he has been the coach of the Austrian national team, where he was able to accompany top amateurs and professionals on their development paths. For the past six years, he has been the technical coach at the side of Emma Spitz, one of Austria's greatest female golfing hopes, and is responsible for her golfing development. At the same time, he pursues his original profession as a teacher of English and physical education. His wanderlust, which flares up again and again, led the likeable Austrian to the cruise and he is looking forward to the rounds of golf together on board and ashore.

As a PGA Master Professional and A-licence trainer with a wealth of experience, Martin Höcker is at home across the entire performance and age spectrum. After studying sports, PGA training and golf management studies, various additional golf-specific training courses such as the Titleist Performance Institute and Trainer Academy in Cologne and 30 years as a coach and teacher in performance-orientated golf, he has now been working intensively in grassroots work as head professional at CGC Prien for eleven years. His aim is to teach golf in a healthy way, with full insight and functioning technique, in order to achieve success in a way that is individualised but feasible for everyone.

Golf is in his blood. After all, the native Scot comes from the home of golf (Loch Lomond). In the past, he has not only won numerous titles, but has also represented his home country as an international player. Before deciding to come on board, he worked at the Velderhof Golf and Country Club in Cologne and was a playing pro on the European Player Development Tour for two years. He has been active on the EUROPA since 2008. Since April 2013, he has been improving your swing on board the EUROPA 2 with training on the golf simulator and exploring the best golf courses on the itineraries with you. He also lets you in on the secrets of the game of former golf legend Ben Hogan and combines these secrets with a learning method that programmes the body for a repetitive swing - GOLF NEW THOUGHT.

Jan Knuth has been a ‘Fully Qualified Golf Professional’ of the PGA of Germany since the end of 2012. He completed his training in St. Leon-Rot. After working in Mülheim a.d. Ruhr, he spent the last few years in Kingsbarns (Scotland) and Costa Navarino (Greece). He has been active on our ships since 2015. Whether you would like to try out golf or are already an established golfer, Jan will be happy to introduce you to his ‘favourite sport’ or improve your swing individually with the help of video analysis. 

Guido Gröteke has been working as a sports instructor in the tourism industry since 1995. After numerous positions in several Robinson and Aldiana hotels, he rediscovered his passion for golf in 2008, a passion for which he laid the foundations back in 1990. After his training as a golf professional and several further and advanced training courses, including golf fitness coach and golf manager, he completed several contracts on various ships and continents. In 2017, he moved to Upper Austria as Head Professional and Golf Manager, and since 2019 he has been a golf instructor at the Dolomitengolf Resort in East Tyrol. His passion for the world's oceans remained unbroken, however, and Guido also works on the EUROPA and EUROPA 2 as their personal pro. His teaching motto: ‘Don't change, improve!’

Gerd Kreichgauer is a PGA of Germany golf instructor and IPP Master Professional for Business & Golf. He is also the author of ‘Processplaybook’ and owner of the IPP Processplaybook Academy. IPP^® stands for Iterative Process Prototyping, a learning system in which movement processes are presented simply and ingeniously. This type of knowledge transfer and deepening of knowledge is of great benefit to every experienced golfer as well as beginners, as it is understood simply and sustainably.

Roland Milich discovered his passion for golf at an early age, which he then realised professionally and completed his training as a fully qualified golf professional with Stefan Quirmbach in 2006. He then worked at the Golf Resort Hardenberg until the end of 2017. Through continuous further training, Roland Milich holds one of the highest levels of qualification in the PGA of Germany's further training system and, as a certified PGA Health Pro, is available to answer any questions you may have on the subject of golf and health.
