  • Kiel Canal is an impressive waterway connecting the North Sea to the Baltic. It was opened in 1895 and is around 98 km (61 mi.) long. The canal allows large cargo and passenger ships to avoid the dangerous journey around Scandinavia, saving time and money. Every year, more than 30,000 ships pass through the canal, making it the one of the busiest waterways in the world. The impressive locks and beautiful countryside on its banks make a journey along the canal a truly fascinating experience.
  • The beautiful waterfront at Nyhavn with its characteristic colourful houses is a great place for a stroll. The imposing Christiansborg Palace, which houses the Danish parliament, recounts the rich history of the country. The famous Little Mermaid in the harbour is a symbol of the city. In the charming streets of Stroget, enjoy some shopping and the lively city life. Copenhagen has an appealing art and cultural scene, from impressive museums to its contemporary architecture. With its green parks and bicycle-friendly atmosphere, the city is a paradise for nature lovers and cyclists.

  • All landings and rides in the ship’s own Zodiacs (Use of the Zodiacs depends on the destination and on official permits)
