Your cruise to some of the most beautiful places in the Mediterranean begins with an overnight stay on board the EUROPA 2 in Monte Carlo, a place filled with glamour and luxury. Cannes, once a sleepy fishing village, is now the ultimate hotspot for the international jet set. The Boulevard de la Croisette is world-famous and invites you to take a stroll. The charming little harbour town of Saint-Florent is often referred to as the “Corsican St-Tropez”. Explore the natural beauty of the surrounding area, such as Cap Corse* or Saleccia Beach* by speedboat. From Livorno (Florence), you will reach the beautiful city of Lucca* as well as Pisa* with its famous Leaning Tower. The next day, Portoferraio welcomes you to the hiker’s paradise of Elba. In addition to excursions into the countryside, a cable-car ride* up Monte Capanne, the highest mountain on the island, is also an option here. The fine white sandy beaches and upmarket boutiques of Porto Cervo will tempt you to the famous Costa Smeralda before the EUROPA 2 sets course for Sicily: enjoy the Sicilian temperament on the largest Mediterranean island in Trapani and la dolce vita in Palermo. Scenic Sorrent is your starting point for visiting the ancient excavation sites of Pompeii*. Alternatively, let yourself be enchanted by picturesque Amalfi* and its coastline. To round off your cruise, discover the island of Ponza, which is still considered an insider tip and has the reputation of being one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean. After eleven unparalleled days, your cruise comes to an end in Civitavecchia (Rome) at the gates of the Eternal City.
