On the flower-filled island of Madeira, experience enchanting gardens and a marvellous view over the capital Funchal on a cable-car ride up to the village of Monte*. The Azores also offer fantastic panoramas: the crater landscapes with the picturesque lakes in the Sete Cidades region* on the island of Sao Miguel and the rugged north coast on the neighbouring island of Terceira are impressive.
