Thomas Pöllmann was born in 1969 in the German County of Hochsauerland. He grew up on his parents' nursery. The first years of his career were classically characterised by training as an industrial clerk and, after moving to Berlin in 1995, he additionally took a degree in business administration. Working in the office furnishing industry, interior design became one of his main areas of specialisation. During this time he travelled to more than thirty countries on six continents to set up the German embassy representations abroad.
Art became more and more important in his life and so the self-taught artist devoted himself intensively to abstract painting in addition to sketching and watercolour painting. Intuition and coincidences play a major role in this work progress. His often large-format paintings hang in private homes, well-known companies and government buildings in Berlin. ‘The joy of doing...’ is important to him, which he skilfully conveys in his coaching sessions and workshops. In his commitment to nature and environmental protection, he has been able to activate a sustainable planting project of more than 4,000 trees through various art assignments.
