Well-choreographed stage shows require thinking outside the box. The core focus here is on the combination of urban dance, especially breakdance, with modern, high-class artistry. This combination has already won numerous awards and references. In order to realize the wide range of ideas on stage, the DDC works with a large group of artists. In the DDC community they have found their common artistic home, which is characterized by mutual inspiration.
The DDC was founded in Schweinfurt in 1999 and is one of the best-known breakdance groups in the German-speaking world. For the two-time world champions, gala shows and television appearances at home and abroad are part of everyday business. They have already won the title of "Europe's best dance show" and founded their own company for show productions and staging in 2013. With "Breakin' Mozart", the DDC combines classical music, opera singing and breakdancing and has played over 300 shows across Europe since 2014. In 2015, the DDC represented Germany at the International Circus Festival in Wuqiao/China, followed by the YOUNG STAGE festival in Basel and, as the crowning achievement, the festival in Monte Carlo. In recent years, the crew has toured the largest halls in Germany and played as part of Europe's most successful gymnastics show "Feuerwerk der Turnkunst" or alongside Florian Silbereisen and other stars in front of several hundred thousand spectators every year. A highlight was the performance in front of former President Barack Obama at a charity event in Kenya. The DDC is now a big name in live entertainment and not only performs on stage itself, but also produces complete shows and productions. With their own space and production facility, the DDC Factory, they also teach their own young talent and since 2023 have had their own touring program with “Breakin’ Circus”, which goes on tour every year with a new show.
