What to expect

The highlights of this cruise

Maritime flair and moments of high-class indulgence: look forward to a feast for all the senses. Our gourmet festival EUROPA’s Best will transport you to a world of delicacies before you set course for Germany’s scenic outpost in the middle of the North Sea: Helgoland.

Embark on a luxurious cruise into the realm of haute cuisine with the EUROPA. A symphony of flavours awaits you on the first evening on board when EUROPA’s Best will transform Deck 8 into a paradise for gourmets for the 19th time. Selected winemakers, renowned celebrity chefs and other gourmet experts will create true culinary highlights for you – against the wonderfully illuminated backdrop of Hamburg. The next day, your Gourmet Cruise will enter its next stage. Whether it’s a freshly caught lobster, a delicious prawn toast or a glass of wine with a view of the open sea – culinary sensations also take centre sage on HELGOLAND. Alternatively, enjoy the salty sea air on a hike along the cliffs, which offers breathtaking views of the sea. Stroll through the town and visit the charming shops for a little retail therapy. From handmade crafts to the finest chocolate and exquisite spirits, you are bound to find true treasures here. Relax on board after your little break in August and enjoy a delicious dinner and a good night’s sleep before the next day’s programme begins. “Moin” in Hamburg!

Please note: The ticket for the gourmet event EUROPA’s Best is included in the cruise-only price.

  • At anchor

  • In the middle of the North Sea, Helgoland is a fascinating natural and recreational paradise. Germany’s scenic outpost will inspire you during your individual shore visit with its special mix of stunning cliffs and unique flora and fauna. The island’s impressive landmark is Lange Anna, a free-standing rock formation on the north-western tip of the island that is 47 m (154 ft) high. In addition to spectacular landscapes, Helgoland also offers culinary delights: freshly caught Helgoland lobster is particularly famous. Visitors also enjoy duty-free shopping opportunities, which include exclusive products such as perfumes, spirits and various delicacies. A hike along the cliffs offers fantastic views while the nearby dune with its sandy white beaches and Germany’s largest grey seal colony invites you to relax and unwind. Whether you’re looking for nature, culinary delights or maritime flair, Helgoland is always worth a visit.
