From the Canary Islands to the Caribbean, December shows its colourful side: Cape Verde inspires with unspoilt natural beauty whilst idyllic bays invite you to relax under the shade of the palm trees – a wonderfully relaxed festive season in blue, green and white.

The EUROPA sets off on its cruise across the Atlantic from Lisbon and arrives in Tenerife after two relaxing days at sea. The diverse flora and fauna of the volcanic island is best seen on an excursion to the Teide National Park* or on a catamaran trip in search of whales and dolphins*. Gran Canaria welcomes you to the beauty of the Canary Islands before the unspoilt islands of Cape Verde emerge in the vastness of the Atlantic Ocean. From Praia, a hike* takes you along historic paths to the former capital Cidade Velha. Further impressions of Cape Verde await you in Mindelo, where pastel-coloured houses adorn the many winding lanes of the old town. The EUROPA then offers you pure relaxation on board during five days at sea: take advantage of the first-class gourmet, wellness and entertainment programme and experience festive days of a very special kind. Barbados welcomes you at the other side of the Atlantic with its spectacular beaches. Relax to your heart’s content under the Caribbean sun or explore lively Bridgetown on a city walk*. While Dominica delights with its spectacular rock formations of the Red Rocks*, legendary St Barts exudes a sophisticated flair: enjoy the sunny side of the international jet set’s favourite island on a catamaran trip with a stop for swimming*. Relax in the shade of palm trees on Jost Van Dyke – for example, on idyllic White Bay Beach – before saying goodbye to the EUROPA in the port of Miami.

Experience the diversity of a hike along the coast from Mindelo to the fishing village of Salamansa and enjoy the fascinating contrast between the mountains and the deep-blue ocean.
  • Experience Bridgetown on a fascinating city walk. The historic centre of the capital of Barbados has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011. Visit a plantation house and the renowned Foursquare rum distillery to discover the island’s rich history and unique flavours.
  • Immerse yourself in the exotic splendour of Dominica’s jungle, where mango trees and hot springs characterise the unspoilt nature. Discover the mysterious Emerald Pool* and Trafalgar Falls* and be revitalised by their refreshing coolness on hot days.
