    The highlights of this cruise

The EUROPA 2 welcomes you on board in Lisbon. Enjoy the narrow streets and unique views of the famous sights on a city tour on the historic tram* before your cruise begins with one of the most scenic river cruises in Europe. Situated in the foothills of the Anti-Atlas Mountains, majestic Agadir welcomes you. A visit to Marrakesh*, Morocco’s most fascinating city, will immerse you in a wondrous tale from the Arabian Nights. Things are more active on Lanzarote: Explore the impressive volcanic island in manoeuvrable two-seater electric cars* or follow in the footsteps of the artist Cesar Manrique*, who is best known for his architectural projects and his decisive influence on the sustainable development of Lanzarote. Fuerteventura invites you on a buggy off-road adventure* to hidden valleys and traditional villages before the protected conservation area of the Maspalomas Dunes* will take your breath away on Gran Canaria. With its old colonial buildings and winding streets, Agulo* is considered the most beautiful village on La Gomera – visit it as well as the Garajonay National Park*, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, during an island tour*. Enchanted rainforests await you at the end on La Palma during a hike* before your cruise to the treasures of the Atlantic comes to an end on charming Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands.

    * The pre- and post-cruise programmes and shore activities are not included in the cruise price and are in the planning stage. Subject to change.

    Agadir/Morocco, 7.00 – 22.00 hrs

Agadir is the most southerly harbour in Morocco. Fully obliterated during an earthquake in 1960, Agadir today is a modern city. Its kilometre-long sandy beach and dry winter climate make it especially popular. Not far from Agadir is the ancient city of Taroudant. Although the city has none of the spectacular buildings found in the royal cities, its modest palaces, the homes of former pashas, and its mosques certainly correspond to our notion of the picturesque Orient. In the souks, the craftspeople can still be seen at work using the age-old traditional methods, while in the main square of Assarag there are sometimes still acrobats, snake charmers and storytellers to be found.

Experience the world’s best golf courses with Hapag-Lloyd Cruises.

On our exclusive Golf & Cruise voyages, we have reserved the best golf courses for you in advance and put together attractive basic packages.

    Basic package: Three courses
    € 1,590 per person

Look forward to a combination of North African mainland and Canary Island golf. Golfing experiences in the desert await you, complemented by two volcanically influenced island golf adventures. The games you can expect on this cruise are correspondingly different. – All in all, something for golfing connoisseurs.

Wed, 05.11.2025, Agadir , Morocco – Tazegzout Golf
At the western foothills of the Sahara, not far from the Atlantic Ocean, 18 parkland-style holes are set in a desert atmosphere. The name of the course is very fitting, as “Tazegzout” means “green, wonderful nature” in Morocco’s national language – whereby the green certainly refers to the golf course and the wonderful, then, perhaps more to the existing combination of desert terrain and fairways. – You simply have to let this course, with all its peculiarities, work its magic on you.

Sun, 09.11.2025, Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Spain – Anfi Tauro Golf
Situated below the Barranco del Cura in a valley, the course features 18 widely spaced fairways. Standing on the fairways, you can’t help but get the impression of a golf course that is more at home in Arizona. Here, too, there is an interesting interplay between the rocky aspects of the surrounding foothills of the mountains and the green areas of the fairways. Take the eighth hole, for example, where after a short approach you will find a green surrounded by rock faces. – If you overshoot the mark here, you run the risk of getting the ball sent back from the surrounding rocks.

Mon, 10.11.2025, San Sebastian, La Gomera, Spain – Tecina Golf
On a volcanic spur in the south of the island lies this elongated layout with its breathtaking 18 golf holes. The mostly straight and closely-spaced fairways are located on a kind of high plateau above the Atlantic Ocean, resulting in some very exciting courses with unusual final “green areas”. The mixture of the green of the fairways and the blue of the Atlantic creates extremely impressive fairways that make golfers’ hearts beat faster.

    GENERAL INFORMATION

    • Please note: In order to guarantee a comfortable flow of play for all golfers, we have determined a basic speed, which is sufficient for a playing time of four and a half to five hours on foot (covering 18 holes with a trolley).
    • Due to tournaments or renovations, etc. at the various golf clubs, our Golf & Cruise programme is subject to change at short notice.
    • Golf & Cruise voyages allow all players with a handicap index of 36 or better to play on courses all over the world.
    • Additional courses can only be booked in conjunction with the basic package.
    • Reservation of e-carts cannot always be guaranteed due to local availability and/or the weather conditions. You may, therefore, have to play and walk just with trolleys – possibly even on hilly courses. Please consider this when planning/booking your Golf & Cruise package.
    • Halfway refreshments are always ordered via the respective golf club; we have no influence on the quality of the snacks. We kindly ask for your understanding.
    • When booking a Golf & Cruise package and flights through Hapag-Lloyd, we will register your golf equipment directly with the airlines – when possible and required. The current baggage regulations of the relevant airline apply. In your travel documents, which you will receive about four weeks prior to departure, you will find relevant information about this. Excess baggage fees for golf equipment are normally to be paid at check-in.
    • Minimum number of participants for basic package: twelve people.
    • Minimum number of participants for additional courses: ten people.
    • If the minimum number of participants is not reached, cancellation will occur no later than eight weeks prior to cruise departure.
    • Rental clubs for right-handed and left-handed players are available on board, subject to a surcharge.
