Here you can look forward to a gourmet lunch followed by an olive oil tasting* in the glamorous coastal town of Portofino. Italy is not only known for its exquisite food, but also for its art treasures. That’s why Livorno is the perfect starting point for an excursion to impressive Florence* or Pisa*. If you would like to take a little time out from culture afterwards, immerse yourself in island life in Portoferraio on Elba. These 27 holes are located on a high plateau close to the Atlantic Ocean. They are divided into an 18-hole and a 9-hole course. The varied sweeping fairways work their way through the neighbouring vineyards and numerous olive groves, leading to generous, modulated greens that are not always easy to gauge. The natural setting with ample views of the Mediterranean Sea creates a very special atmosphere. Very well-kept 18 holes challenge the golfer to a round. The parkland course with its fairways laid out amidst a landscape of existing trees demands overview and precision, especially as the natural subsoil is very modulated. Here, in the heart of Tuscany, 27 fairways have been designed. They are divided into the Mountain Course (18 holes), with considerable differences in altitude, and the Lake Course (9 holes), which has exceptional panoramas and numerous water features. Typical of the region, you will be constantly accompanied by mature trees and olive groves on your round. The layout is designed in such a way that the beauty of nature is not significantly disturbed by the fairways. Perhaps this is the very trademark of the golf course.General Information
- In order to guarantee a comfortable flow of play for all golfers, we have determined a basic speed, which is sufficient for a playing time of 4.5 to 5 hours on foot (covering 18 holes with a trolley).
- Due to tournaments, renovations, etc. at the various golf clubs, our Golf & Cruise programme is subject to change at short notice.
- Golf & Cruise voyages allow all players with a handicap of 36 or less to play on courses all over the world.
- Additional courses can only be booked in conjunction with the basic package.
- The reservation of e-carts cannot always be guaranteed due to local availability and weather conditions. You may, therefore, have to play and walk just with trolleys - possibly even on hilly courses. Please consider this when planning/booking your Golf & Cruise package.
- Halfway refreshments are always ordered via the respective golf club; we have no influence on the quality of the snacks. We kindly ask for your understanding.
- When booking a Golf & Cruise package and flights through Hapag-Lloyd, we will register your golf equipment directly with the airlines – when possible and required. The current baggage regulations of the relevant airline apply. In your travel documents, which you will receive about four weeks prior to departure, you will find relevant information about this. Excess baggage fees for golf equipment are normally to be paid at check-in.
- Minimum number of participants for basic packages: 12 persons.
- Minimum number of participants for additional courses: 10 persons.
- If the minimum number of participants is not reached, cancellation will occur no later than eight weeks prior to cruise departure.
- Rental clubs for right-handed and left-handed players are available on board, subject to a surcharge.
