The era of mining on Silver Islet ended with the fall in silver prices and the depletion of ore deposits. Today, remnants of the mining facilities and the underwater mine are reminders of the glory days. In addition to its historical significance, the town also offers a picturesque landscape that invites you to hike through the forests and along Lake Superior.
