Tue 03.09.2024 Sete, France - Golf du Cap d'Agde
This is a course with character - or to put it a better way - with three nine-hole characters. Divided into the "Alizes", "Azur" and "Volcan" courses, the various sections make use of the geological conditions on the Cap d'Agde peninsula. The "Alizes" weaves its way through ancient oaks, bushes and shrubs. With an impressive 555 m (607 yd), the sixth hole demands all of a golfer's ability. With its numerous dog-legs and constant contact with water, the "Azur" requires strategic course management. The "Volcan" lies at the foot of Mont Saint-Loup, weaving its way through lava rock and pine forests with some breathtaking views of the surroundings.
Thu 05.09.2024 Bonifacio (Corsica), France - Golf de Sperone
This course promises a varied combination of enjoyable golf and natural experiences. The 15th hole, a par 4 at just 308 m (337 yd), is particularly spectacular in its setting on a stretch of land reaching into the sea. The dog-leg heads left, running along the coast to finish right on the steep cliffs. - It's worth having your smartphone to hand here for a souvenir selfie.
Sat 07.09.2024 Portofino, Italy - Circolo Golf e Tennis Rapallo - Additional course
In the hilly landscape of Santa Maria, between Rapallo and Santa Margherita, lie some exceptionally exciting holes that constantly switch between flat fairways and very hilly areas. The Boate river flows through the whole course, coming into contact with more than three-quarters of the holes. On the third hole, a par 4 of 356 m (389 yd), the water even crosses the entire fairway just before the green. Depending on your position, a score-sapping lay-up is certainly worth considering here. After your round, head to the clubhouse for a well-earned drink and a warm piece of crostone with stracchino, a delicious regional speciality.
Sun 08.09.2024 Livorno (Florence), Italy - Castelfalfi Golf Club
In the middle of the Tuscan highlands lies this very beautiful 27-hole course. The partly generously designed fairways pass cypresses and olive trees. The course has a tendency to dog-leg. Seven of the eighteen fairways of the Mountain Course alone have to be played around the corner. Hole 5, with its 580 metres from the back tee, may be regarded as a particular challenge. After a first straight carry of about 250 metres, the course turns to the left and after a long 180 metres it swings to the right. In this respect, it is a round with rough edges.
