Individual travel arrangements to cruise departure point
Kiel/Germany, departure 18.00 hrs
Your cruise on the EUROPA 2 starts in the maritime capital of Schleswig-Holstein.
Kalmar/Sweden , 13.30 – 19.00 hrs
The third-largest city in Smaland not only has a beautiful old town brimming with sights to offer – such as Kalmar Castle, the market square, the baroque cathedral and the city hall built in the Danish renaissance style – but also boasts urban flair with many small galleries and shops, restaurants and cafes.
Gdansk/Poland, 8.00 – 18.00 hrs
The former Hanseatic city on Poland’s Baltic coast is shaped by its long history, as can be seen in its artfully restored medieval centre. Visit Malbork Castle – one of Europe’s mightiest castles built by knights – on a walking tour* or combine some exploration on foot with a boat trip on the city’s waterways*. For an alternative excursion, head to the popular Baltic resort of Sopot*, which draws beach fans from all over the country in the summer.
Malmo/Sweden, 13.30 – 19.30 hrs
The city lies at the southern tip of Sweden over the water from Copenhagen and is one of the country’s most modern metropolises. Yet, here too, the city’s long history can be seen in the many old half-timbered houses, a 14th-century church and the famous Malmo Castle. Get to know both sides of Malmo with a walking tour of the old town*.
Stora Dyron/Sweden , 8.30 – 14.00 hrs
Gothenburg/Sweden, arrival 0.00 hrs
You’ll feel like you’ve been transported back to the rural Sweden of days gone by on this lovely little island. Follow one of the many hiking trails to enjoy the unspoilt landscape and the view of the sweeping archipelago at a relaxed pace. If you’re very lucky, you might even spot wild mouflon sheep. Next, the EUROPA 2 cruises in the Marstrand fjord.
Gothenburg, departure 18.00 hrs
Copenhagen/Denmark, 8.00 – 18.00 hrs
How about a visit to Amalienborg Palace during the changing of the guard? Or perhaps you’d rather combine a city tour with a boat tour* to marvel at the avant-garde Royal Opera House? The trendy district of Norrebro* caters perfectly for fans of hip big-city flair. In short, you’ll have plenty of options for a wonderful day in Copenhagen.
