Sat 17.02.2024 Mount Maunganui (Tauranga), New Zealand – Mt Maunganui Golf Club – Additional course 1
An exceptional course layout awaits you here with 18 holes arranged very close together. This demands forward-looking course management from players. Those who can focus on and consistently reproduce straight shots will be able to use the relatively spacious fairways to take home a good score. All the while, the course reveals view after spellbinding view of the Pacific Ocean. – Perhaps this is the added value of this round of golf.
Tue 20.02.2024 Wellington, New Zealand – Royal Wellington Golf Club
Situated in the uplands of the “Windy City”, this city course was opened in 1895 and was most recently redesigned as a parkland course in 2013. Its location means that the 18-hole golf adventure is also often affected by the wind. The extremely wide, often rather strongly modulated fairways won’t necessarily work in your favour. The round is traditionally opened by a starter who keeps an eye on the players’ footwear. Only white golf socks and shoes with soft spikes are permitted. However, white knee socks are preferred for guests.
Wed 21.02.2024 Lyttelton (Christchurch), New Zealand – Clearwater Golf Club – Additional course 2
This course is not one for golfers with an aversion to water, as eleven of the 18 holes have serious water hazards at their sides. However, players who can focus on the essentials will quickly find their way to the extremely fast plateau greens. The tee boxes on this course stand out with their raised positions, providing a clear view of play from the start.
Thu 22.02.2024 Port Chalmers, New Zealand – The Otago Golf Club
This striking parkland course features some very narrow fairways and demands a serious drive right from the tee boxes. The 14th hole will prove particularly memorable, as the fairway with its 45-degree dog-leg requires a drive of at least 220 m (241 yd) to achieve the ideal line. This is essential to obtain the best score for your handicap on the 404 m (442 yd) length. – A piece of hard work for golfers, but one that never loses sight of the fun.
Tue 27.02.2024 Hobart/Tasmania, Australia – Royal Hobart Golf Club
The history of this course stretches back to 1916. It has had to move several times since then and did not reach its current location at Seven Mile Beach until 1956. The Royal Hobart title was conferred on the club in 1925. More recently, the 18 holes were brought up to date in 1997. But before you make it to the large, fast greens, there are a formidable 80 strategically placed bunkers waiting on the broad fairways. All in all, a perfect fusion of bushland with a steady stream of views of the Indian Ocean.
Sat 02.03.2024 Adelaide, Australia – Royal Adelaide Golf Club
Fit for a king – Royal Adelaide is located right in the midst of the city. English-style pot bunkers as tall as a person provide surprises along the way to the end goal via the broad fairways. These sand obstacles provide rather staunch protection to the greens. It is worth using the warm-up time before your round to get to grips with this special kind of bunker.
Tue 05.03.2024 Melbourne, Australia – Woodlands Golf Club
The former pasture land south of the City of Melbourne was chosen as early as 1912 and transformed into a golf course. Today, the parkland course presents itself with 18 wide fairways and partly stately lengths, which all end on rather manageable greens. The predominantly straight fairways allow an approach to the final target from almost any position. These circumstances should suit every handicap!
