This golf cruise during Indian summer is something very special. The east coast of North America presents first-rate options for a game, surrounded by the glorious colours of the changing seasons. Believe it or not, there are five top courses on offer on this exceptional cruise, which opens doors to clubs that are off limits under normal circumstances. An impressive three of the options are strictly private courses that are otherwise only open to members. This Golf & Cruise voyage therefore allows you to enjoy unique fairway experiences that only the greats of the sport can share. – A must for any golf enthusiast who likes a challenge and unique experiences.
Thu 19.10.2023 Newport (Rhode Island), USA – Newport National Country Club
It is no coincidence that this course is known as the Orchard Course. It was designed 20 years ago by architect Arthur Hills on the site of a former orchard. The links-style course is accompanied by all manner of local flora, which combines beautifully with the views of the nearby Atlantic to enhance the flat, very playable fairways.
Mon 23.10.2023 Portland (Maine), USA – Woodlands Country Club
The 18 championship holes work their way through dense trees, making the manicured fairways rather narrow in places. The six tee positions won’t necessarily help here. Instead, keeping control of the ball’s trajectory is the key to success. If need be, it may help to take less club – for less distance but more control. A wonderful golfing adventure awaits in the hills of Maine.
Tue 24.10.2023 Boston (Massachusetts), USA – Granite Links Golf Club
With a blend of American parkland and links styles, three sets of nine holes divided into the Granite, Milton and Quincy courses are waiting to be conquered here. The fairways are of moderate length with significant modulation in places and multiple well-placed bunkers. Rather tricky greens lie in wait at the end of the fairways and must be mastered to ensure a good score.
Thu 26.10.2023 Norfolk (Virginia), USA – Kingsmill Resort River Course
Star architect Pete Dye planned this resort course on the James River meticulously, ensuring painstaking precision in the implementation of his designs. He placed particular importance on expansive playing areas, which are intended to visually motivate the player. Eight tee boxes create suitable starting options for players of any level. Perhaps this is why “The River” has also been used for multiple national tournaments featuring the greats of the game. – An experience in the footsteps of masters.
Fri 27.10.2023 Baltimore (Maryland), USA – Hunt Valley Country Club
The pristine nature of Baltimore County is home to 18 holes of championship golf. The course leads over gentle hills and through scenic valleys, with the individual fairways offering plenty of room for forward-looking play. A skilful route around the numerous streams and watering holes takes you to spacious, gently modulated greens. From the very first tee, the hunt is on for the best score with a high-calibre golfing adventure.
