Southern Africa is not just known for its exceptional wildlife and exquisite wine. In recent decades, the south of the continent has become a hotspot for international golf design. So this cruise around the Cape of Good Hope is also a treat for golfing connoisseurs.
Mon 31.10.2022 Gqeberha, South Africa - Humewood Golf Club
Since 1929, the rugged dune landscape of Algoa Bay has been home to a challenging links course layout. This traditional 18-hole course played a significant role in establishing South Africa's golfing tradition and has hosted many international tournaments. A beautiful place to play on the coast of the Indian Ocean.
Wed 02.11.2022 Durban, South Africa - Mount Edgecomb Golf Club – Lake Course
Very promising 18 fairways await the ambitious golfer; the rather American-style design is presented with wide fairways and well-placed sand hazards. The fairways are bordered by five stately water areas and the villas that border the course. This should limit the trajectories of the ball to the actual layout of the course, as the boundaries of the fairways always mean the out of bounds.
Tue 08.11.2022 Le Port (Reunion), France - Golf du Bassin Bleu
This 18-hole golf course in sits on a 400 m (1,312 ft) high plateau in the west of the island. From this vantage point, a round of golf always offers outstanding views of the beach resort of Saint Gilles and the bay below. Follow the course past the old, gnarled eucalyptus trees that fringe the straight holes.
Wed 09.11.2022 Port Louis, Mauritius - Mont Choisy Golf
The 18-hole course in the north of the island is one of the newest in the country. Broad, well-formed fairways allow players of all abilities to obtain a good result. Only the very open holes could potentially be affected by gusts from the Indian Ocean, which should definitely be taken into account in your game strategy.
