An unforgettable experience: the cruise to Kotor on board the EUROPA 2. The natural harbour lies at the end of the bay of the same name, which cuts deep inland like a fjord for about 30 km. The winding alleys and Venetian palaces in the town are well protected behind the fortified city walls. As well as Kotor, you can also discover Budva**, one of the oldest settlements in the Balkans, which is a great place for sightseeing with its citadel, impressive squares and narrow streets. Alternatively you might want to combine some action with relaxation during a speed boat ride to the Blue Cave* to swim in the crystal-clear water.

One of the most impressive natural phenomena in Croatia are the waterfalls of Krka**, whilst a white-water rafting** trip will take you past some impressive cliffs and wild, primitive flora.

The central Piazza del Popolo, with its typically Italian street cafes, is the ideal starting point for a stroll through this idyllic university town. Ravenna is famous above all for its mosaics**, which decorate the Basilica of San Vitale and the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, for example. Another option to spend this day would be by exploring the oldest republic in the world: San Marino. Its fortress, Rocca Gualta, the city’s landmark seated on Mount Titano, already welcomes you from a distance.
