    The highlights of this cruise

Start your cruise in HAMBURG with two relaxing days at sea and already get in the mood on board for the savoir vivre of France. Plan your days as you please and let yourself be pampered by an attentive crew. A natural spectacle then awaits you at the border between Normandy and Brittany, where ST MALO proudly defies the tides. Surrounded by fortress walls and sandy beaches, the restored old town has wonderful spots to enjoy the autumn sun with a cafe au lait. An excursion takes you to the monastery island of Mont-Saint-Michel*. The pilgrimage destination offers an impressive sight even from a distance and is completely surrounded by the waves at high tide. Belle-Ile combines culinary delights and natural beauty: the island capital LE PALAIS exudes pure holiday vibes in the fishing harbour and whets your appetite to try the fruits of the sea. How about an oyster tasting*? BILBAO is considered the centre of culture and politics in Basque Country. Everything here seems to revolve around art, architecture and culinary delights – from the dazzling Guggenheim Museum* to the glass underground entrances and the many Michelin-starred restaurants. GIJON is the self-proclaimed cider capital of the world. Enjoy a glass of the cider, which is traditionally produced in the Asturias region, during your walk. Two highlights of Portugal are set to sweeten the coming days: experience PORTO, which, in addition to its wineries along the Douro, features the UNESCO-protected old town Ribeira. In the morning, the EUROPA reaches Portugal’s capital LISBON and stays here overnight. The city’s different quarters spread out amongst seven hills, and the differences in height in the old town can be overcome with lifts. Explore the steep alleys of Alfama comfortably with the nostalgic tram*, which rumbles along beautifully tile-decorated houses. TANGIER, in turn, promises magical moments. The “White City” has inspired artists such as Henri Matisse and Tennessee Williams – and even today, colourful fabrics, gold jewellery, fruits and spices inspire the senses in the lively medina. In the light of the cathedral of PALMA DE MALLORCA illuminated in the evening, you still have ideal opportunities to collect some final holiday memories or to come across the perfect souvenir in the middle of the old town. After a day at sea, your cruise ends in VALLETTA.

    * The shore activities are not included in the cruise price and are in the planning stage. Subject to change.
