Its current eruption has lasted since 1983 and you can see the unique sight of columns of steam rising up and the lava landscapes of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on an aerial tour*. A scenic journey to Hawi and Kapa’au* offers impressive views of the picturesque coastline.
